Finally "posting" again!

I have a lot to catch up on.......it has been quite an adjustment to be back in the U.S. Today I was especially at a loss for what my life is to entail now that I have gone on such a life changing journey........and among many things I felt led to read Jeremiah 29:11-14. Gary read to me the same versus.......so I will listen.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

The versus go on to say that if you seek God he will listen...and...."You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

OK.......so I will share some more trip details now.......... :)

Soooo many things to write!

I will have to post more information once I get home..........I have pics that I need to get on CD so I can post them......

We are in Bangkok....Sat, Oct 21 pm. It is 0115am in Columbus.

I cannt believe what we fit into 1 week! I fell in love with these kids just asthe others in Phnom Penh.

Monday: Did a LOT of hard manual labor.....yes I picked up a rake, hoe, and used my hands to clear brush, weeds.....pick up rubbish....mainly broken pieces of ceramic tiles. The boy who helped me was such a huge help! He and I took wheel barrel anfeter barrel of tiles to the junk pile....talk about sweat!!!! Along the way he killed a snake and.........I found a huge black scorpion under a deeply burried tile! Holy COW!!!!! It was freaky! Those boys are HARD workers and they are so strong!!!!! We ate w/ the kids, did a lot more work, then cleaned up and off to the city. It was a 30 min drive 1 way to the orphanage.....that got old really fast.

Tuesday: Took the children to the pool..........that was crazy! I've never had so many kids hanging on my arms, legs, shoulders, back!!! It was a blast!

Wednesday: Went to Burma.....now known as Myanmar. That was interesting......4 hr drive each way........my butt is still numb!

Thursday: I am really sick this day!!!!! Nausea all day..........then we went to orphanage and Pete killedthe pig that was BBQ'd for dinner. UGH!!!!!! I saw it walking around, I heard it snorting as it was tied up, and I heard it squeal as it was stabbed to death. Not a good experience......but Pete loved it. They really know how to butcher a pig.....within a couple of hours there were BBQ'd skewrs of pork. I could not eat......I was sick.......and I am a spolied American that never has to see her food when it was alive.

Then the sad goodbye.........not as hard because we could not get to know these children as well......but I made a few really sweet connections and it was still tearfull for me and a couple of the girls. Pimpaporn was especially sad.....she is a teenager and she has such a tender heart.

More later........I cannot wait to get back home.........Bangkok is weird.
